Overview
This project is a real time Airport Management System designed for a high traffic hub like Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). After seeing how crowded CDG gets and how many moving parts have to stay perfectly synchronized, the project was born from the desire to translate that operational complexity into a clear, usable system.
Architecture
The application is built as a modular, scalable dashboard using a modern frontend architecture, with each operational domain clearly separated:
- Operations Dashboard: Central overview of live airport activity, key metrics, weather, and alerts
- Flight Board Module: Real-time arrivals and departures with status updates, filtering, and search
- Gate Management Module: Visual representation of gate occupancy, availability, and assignments
- Incident Management Module: Safety alerts, incident tracking, severity levels, and resolution status
- Passenger Flow & Queue Module: Monitoring of security, immigration, and customs queues
- Analytics Module: KPIs, performance trends, and delay analysis for operational insights
Each module is designed to function independently while remaining tightly integrated within the overall system.
Key Features
Real-Time Operational Visibility
The dashboard provides a live view of airport operations, including flight status changes, gate usage, incidents, queue congestion, and baggage handling activity, enabling operators to react quickly to disruptions.
High-Traffic Optimization
Layouts and components are designed for fast scanning and readability, ensuring critical information remains accessible even when managing hundreds of concurrent flights and thousands of passengers.
Visual Decision Support
Color-coded statuses, alerts, and indicators (inspired by the Paris Aéroport blue and orange identity) help prioritize actions and highlight operational risks instantly.
Modular & Scalable Design
The system is structured to allow new operational modules—such as radar views, airport maps, or AI-assisted sequencing—to be added without impacting existing functionality.
Results
- Unified operational view covering flights, gates, incidents, queues, baggage, and analytics
- Improved situational awareness for managing large-scale airport traffic
- Clear, modern UI inspired by the official Paris Aéroport design language
- Scalable foundation suitable for high-traffic international airports like CDG
